The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - a New Gameplay Discovery

The anticipation surrounding the sequel of the much-loved The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been immense, and the recent thirteen-minute gameplay footage – with commentary by Eiji Aonuma, the series' producer – only adds to that excitement. Officially announced as complete, the insightful footage reveals Link’s new skills and what he can do with them in the upcoming game.

Link’s new ‘recall’ ability allows the protagonist to reverse the movement of items; in this case, stones fall from the sky. This talent will come in handy as Link journeys through Tears of the Kingdom’s sky islands. ‘Fuse’ is also showcased, enabling Link to combine items, including elements of the environment. Through this, for example, a stick and a boulder can be turned into a mace, or arrows can be combined with a monster’s eye to make them point themselves in the right direction.

Another fun feature of Tears of the Kingdom is Link’s ability to create his own forms of transportation. We are treated to a demonstration of the building of a raft and a glimpse at an added skill called ‘ascend,’ which will accelerate Link’s upward movement. This is useful for getting through the ceilings of buildings and caves.

The gameplay footage of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was already enough to get fans in a frenzy, especially with the recent confirmation of completion. All that’s left to do now is wait for the game to hit the shelves and see the reactions of those who play it.

To summarize, the thirteen-minute gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been released, with commentary from Eiji Aonuma. It showcases Link’s new abilities, such as ‘recall,’ ‘fuse,’ and ‘ascend,’ and how they can be used to travel through the sky islands and beyond. The game has been confirmed as complete, so all that’s left to do is impatiently wait for it to be released in order to experience Link’s new skills for ourselves.
