Concord Will Have 12 Maps at Launch, No Battle Pass

The conclusion of the open beta testing phase for Firewalk Studios' game 'Concord' signals a fast-paced progression towards its official launch. A comprehensive frequently-asked-questions section related to the post-beta phase is now available, providing insights into what players can anticipate when the game is officially released. The developers are promising a launch with 12 unique maps, including the five present during the beta testing phase and all six game modes.

Firewalk Studios has also promised an expansion of the game "shortly after" the initial launch, with "consistent updates and new season releases" introducing additional characters, maps, and more intriguing features. Only a limited selection of customization items was available during the beta phase. The complete version of the game boasts "hundreds of items" available for players to customize their Freegunners. Best of all, each item is obtainable through gameplay alone. As previously declared, these uniquely customizable features are all aesthetic.

Gamers can unlock certain items by completing specific jobs (also known as challenges) and leveling up their accounts and characters within the game. In a unique approach, there will not be the typical Battle Pass system, with the development team instead focusing on offering an enriching from day one. Also, there apparently won't be any in-game cinematic sequences, a confirmation seemingly drawn from the scant weekly vignettes we have seen till now.

'Concord' is slated for launch on August 23rd and will be available on PS5 and PC.
